Ms. Summer Sneed |
I had a passion for music from a very young age, I started my journey with music by taking guitar lessons, then starting beginning band in 5th grade playing trumpet. Later in high school, I learned that music was my calling through playing trumpet in a church orchestra and teaching younger students how to play. Finding these puzzle pieces led me to pursue Music Education to inspire future generations and lead them to develop their own music experiences.
I earned a Bachelors of Music Education from the University of Louisville with an emphasis in Instrumental Music. I have been a part of the National Association for Music Education, Kentucky Music Education Association, International Trumpet Guild, and Tau Beta Sigma National Honorary Band Sorority since 2014. I also have collegiate experience in the U of L Symphonic, Concert, Community, and Marching Bands, as well as the Trumpet Ensemble and Cardinal Pride Pep Band. Some of my hobbies include traveling, crafting, sewing, finding new food recipes to try, playing in the Graceland Baptist Church Orchestra and challenging myself to learn and try new things. |
